Chiropractic Adjustment
Chiropractic adjustments, also known as spinal manipulations, are a cornerstone of chiropractic care improving spinal function and overall health. Adjustments primarily involve applying controlled gentle force to specific joints or other areas to correct misalignments and restore proper alignment.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on the rhythmic pulsations of the cerebrospinal fluid as it flows around the brain and spinal cord. By releasing restrictions in the craniosacral system, this therapy helps to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, enhance overall health, and alleviate a wide range of conditions, from headaches to chronic pain.
Therapeutic Massage
Using skilled manual techniques to address muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Each session is tailored to meet your needs, whether you seek relief from chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to unwind.
Electrical muscle stimulation (E-stim) and ultrasound techniques to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
TCM Guasha
TCM Guasha is a therapeutic technique practiced for centuries to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and promote detoxification. Using gentle technique, Guasha and suction cups are applied to specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow (qi) and restore balance. Many patients find relief from pain, stress, and respiratory issues through this ancient healing practice.
F.A.Q.
While many adjustments are gentle and provide immediate relief, some patients may experience mild discomfort or soreness afterward. This is usually temporary and resolves quickly. When performed by a licensed chiropractor, chiropractic adjustments are generally safe. Chiropractors undergo extensive training and education to deliver treatments safely and effectively.
During your chiropractic adjustment you will begin by describing the reasons for your visit. We will discuss your overall health and I will answer any questions you have. Before your adjustment I will ask you to stand up straight so I can see the curvature of your spine. I will then ask you to lay face down so I can check the length of both legs. Before beginning the adjustment I will warm up your muscles with simple massage techniques and if needed utilize massage devices for deeper tissue massage. Your adjustment will last anywhere from 10-20 minutes. Some people experience soreness in the areas adjusted. This is normal and will pass within 24-48 hours. You should feel pain improvement after each adjustment in the case of more serious spinal pain.
Some patients experience immediate relief after an adjustment, while others may require multiple sessions to achieve significant improvement. The effectiveness of chiropractic care can vary depending on individual circumstances.
The sound that people refer to as a crack is actually the release of air from your joints. This is normal and not dangerous. When you crack your knuckles, you hear a noise as well. Same concept applies. Chiropractic adjustments are gentle and safe. My goal is to work together with you to adjustment your spine in a manner that gives you relief.
Absolutely not. If you’re in pain, you should schedule an appointment until your issue has been resolved. Then feel free to schedule an adjustment whenever you feel you need one. Similarly to dental checkups, it’s important to access the health of your spine from time to time.
